Our Approach
Meneghello aims to prevent or otherwise mitigate and remediate any harmful effects the company’s operations may have on the environment. Excellence in environmental performance is an essential component to our business. Meneghello is committed to reducing its environmental impact whilst providing superior service to its customers.
The core objectives of our environmental policy are:
- To comply with environmental laws, regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain an Environmental Management System that includes environmental standards, practices and procedures. These are implemented and reviewed to identify and manage our environmental risks.
- Identify potential environmental impacts and develop mitigation controls which are regularly monitored and reviewed.
- To minimise our carbon footprint on the environment and commit to the principles of pollution prevention and continual improvement.
- Strive to continuously monitor and respond constructively to evolving community expectations in relation to environmental responsibility.
- To make the environment an integral part of every managerial and supervisory position.
- To foster a culture of environmental responsibility at work through employees having the knowledge and skills to meet our obligations and fulfil our commitment to environmental care, through consultation and training.
- Promote sustainability through opportunities for recycling where appropriate.
- To prevent pollution to the environment through practical waste and emissions reduction practices and technologies, wherever possible.
Our operations are subject to compliance with various State legislations, primarily in relation to emissions to air and discharges to water and land. In line with this, we have made significant investments in the last year to either comply with or to work towards compliance with government regulations. These investments have been targeted specifically at reducing air pollution, improving our approach to waste and stormwater treatment. Specific plans and procedures have been prepared to ensure operational compliance and to minimise the impacts on the environment and the community in which we operate.
